I think the Audio Technica AT 3035 is a good little mic for the money, but for a little more money you can get an Audio Technica AT 4040. The AT 4040 sounds very similar to the Neumann TLM 103, which is an excellent mic, but costs 3 times as much as the AT 4040. We have several mics here in the studio, Neumann 149´s, U 87´s, etc, but I have used the AT 4040 on many cccasions. It´s an excellent mic for the money. Much better than Rode, and the others in it´s price class. 
And no, I don´t work for Audio Technica, nor do I have an endorsement with them. :)
